Where We Work
We're based at 1023 Station Dr, Oswego, IL 60543, and most of the work we take on sits within a short drive of that address. That covers Oswego itself along with Boulder Hill two miles off, Montgomery at three, Yorkville at five, and out past that to Sugar Grove, North Aurora, Plano, and the rest of the towns within about a twenty-minute run. If you're farther out - Lockport, Channahon, Lemont, Wayne - call first and ask; we'll tell you straight whether it makes sense for us to come out.
This part of Illinois is mostly 1980s and 90s housing stock, with a lot of it going back further to the late 1950s. That's the range we see on service calls day in, day out: torsion springs sized for doors that are twenty, thirty, forty years old, openers that have outlived two or three garage doors, and hardware nobody stocks at the box store anymore. Knowing that stock is most of the job before we even open the truck.
The Short Version
Call (331) 297-2518. If we don't pick up, leave your address and what the door is doing - won't open, won't close, makes noise, spring snapped - and we'll call back to get a time on the books. We don't run an answering service that reads from a script; whoever calls you back has done this work and will ask the right follow-up questions before a truck ever leaves.
Winters here get cold enough that steel contracts, grease stiffens, and openers that were already tired give out. That's the busiest stretch of the year for us, so if you're not in an emergency, book a little ahead rather than the day you notice the problem. If it is an emergency - door stuck open, spring gone, car trapped inside - say so on the call and we'll work you in.
What We Will Not Do
We won't quote a repair over the phone sight unseen, and we won't tell you a torsion spring job is a five-minute fix - it isn't, and anyone who says otherwise hasn't done one. We also won't push a full door replacement on you if a spring, cable, or roller swap will get the door running right for years yet. On the flip side, if your door and opener are old enough that parts are hard to source, we'll say that plainly instead of stringing together patch repairs that won't hold.
One honest limit: if you're well outside the area listed above, we may not be the right call, and we'd rather tell you that up front than take the job and show up late because of drive time. We're not the biggest outfit in this part of Illinois, and we're not trying to be - we just want to be straight with you about what we can get to and when.
